We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Services Superintendent for our client in the Bowen Basin, near Middlemount for a short-term project.
Assist the Technical Services Manager to build, maintain and a lead a capable team to implement the Clients systems.
The chief technical advisor on geological/geotechnical and mine planning issues to the Technical Services Manager providing strategic long term mine development advice on how to optimise the value of the mines resource.
Provide the production areas with robust plans to ensure the business can meet production targets.
Development a life of mine plane and a robust rolling business plan with attention to the annual plan
Support the Technical Services Manager in leading the implementation of AAMC systems and provide governance to ensure quality.
Understand set work contexts and allocate tasks to ensure individual, departmental and site work is adequately resourced.
Identify areas for staff development and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
Foster collaborative relationships with team members, ensuring that Anglo American’s culture and values are promoted in all interactions.
Contribute to the development and implementation of the site strategy, the business plan.
Monitor and manage the performance of the mine site against the business plan and annual plan.
Be an effective leader and team member by demonstrating a commitment to safety and positive working behaviours.
Ensure compliance with all systems and provide governance to ensure the system is optimised and standards are consistent throughout.
Identify and report opportunities for improvement to the system owner.
To be successful in this role; you must have:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline
Eligible for membership the Institution of Engineers Australia as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
S123 & G2
Standard 11 Underground – Statement of Attainment
Coal Board Medical – Section 4
Current Drivers Licence
Proof of Australian working entitlements (e.g., Birth Certificate, Passport or Citizenship)
Superintendent level or equivalent leadership experience within mining operations (preferably Coal)
Demonstrated experience leading a team of professionals to deliver against set targets.
Experience in driving best practise through your department and into the business. This includes the development and implementation of strategy in line with business goals.
Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes.
Track record in driving continuous improvement.
Experience in development and control of departmental budget and expenditure
